Why we use 4 filters
One filter isn’t enough to clean your water because "dirt" comes in all sizes, from visible pebbles to invisible chemicals.
A single filter trying to catch everything would either clog instantly or let the smallest toxins slip through.
Think of it like a race: certain chemicals, such as PFAS or chloramines, are harder to "catch" and need more time in contact with the filter.
This duration is known as Empty Bed Contact Time (EBCT)—the longer the contact, the cleaner the water.

Before we build your system, we conduct a detailed review of your local water quality to select the specific carbon media for your needs.
For instance, Thames Water uses chloramine rather than standard chlorine for treatment.
Traditional carbon filters are less effective against chloramine, leading to lower reduction levels and diminished protection. We ensure your system is calibrated to handle these specific local challenges.
Our bodies were designed to process natural compounds, but we are now asking them to filter a constant stream of synthetic chemistry.
Without advanced filtration like our selective membranes, we remain the final "filter" for the world's pharmaceutical waste.
